Thank you for shipping this idea. We have one small problem that would be great if you could address. We have a free membership level and the web forms do not indicate that $0 memberships cannot sign up for auto-renewal. It allows the combination of choices to happen but then the user gets an error and their order goes into the "Unresolved Online Sales Order" section. Would it be possible to simply prevent the auto-renewal checkbox from being functional if a $0 membership level is selected in the same way it disappears as an option when trying to process these levels through Back Office?
Can you direct me to the instructions for how to make auto renew memberships a reality? Thanks!
This will allow for the ease of renewal and lessen overlooked renewals!
Happy to see this marked "Planned," and anxious for an update. We have fingers crossed for monthly/quarterly membership payment options, too-- a huge priority for us!
Why isn't this a feature already??
Online, online, online. We are restricted from storing cc information and do not have integrated cc processing (because of security concerns) so we cannot do back office or front office automatic renewals (we use separate cc machines over phone lines). We need at least to have this available as an online option for our members to choose so we can direct anyone who wants this option to our website.
Automatic Renewal is almost useless if I can't change their status at a time other than concurrent to a payment. I want to be able to look at their record when I'm talking to them on the phone and say "Hey, I see you don't have Auto Renewal, would you like to switch to that?", but I can't easily see it on their record, nor can I change that status (including once the Front Desk enters it incorrectly and we don't catch it!)
We would like to have this ability. Our Board of Trustees are asking about this ability at every meeting. Please make this available as soon as possible!
Auto renewals at the end of a members term would truly be ideal. A monthly service would be a great way to capture additional donations but not memberships for us.
Being able to have automated recurring billing for memberships and recurring gifts is a MUST, and needs to be a priority implementation for Altru. Please make this happen.
Automated membership renewal, for those members choosing that option, would be a great benefit for us.
Being able to set-up automated monthly credit card payment processing as an option for memberships would be a huge benefit. Interest in this capability seems to be increasing and would be a great benefit to offer our members. Also being able to offer the ability to auto renew should the member select that feature would help grow our membership and cut down on the staffing resources required to manage our memberships.
Any news on an implementation date?
I would like to have autorenewed memberships within the same membership program. I am not interested in monthly payments for memberships.
I would like to give members the option to have their membership autorenew at the end of their membership term (which for all levels is 1 year). I cannot have these members in a separate membership program.
Is it possible to automatically put these members into a batch during their expiration month (or the month before)?
Is it possible to use a query to select members for a batch, or do they have to be selected individually?
what is the date for implementation?
Please make the addition of this feature a top priority.
Please implement this! This is the only way our institution can have recurring memberships.
Recurring memberships are one of the top three reasons AMST converted to Altru. Our Board of Trustees, community, and membership are requesting this daily. As a result of increased standards in data security at our affiliated university, we are unable to take advantage of the back-end workaround. At a Board of Trustee meeting yesterday, the Board was appalled that we do not have the ability to offer this service to our members. It is viewed as lost revenue. The availability of sustainable, recurring, auto-renewable memberships, and donations will be a determining factor as to whether AMST will renew its contract when it comes due. Please make this feature a priority and available as soon as possible.
We also want an easy way to offer automatic renewal to our members and it would be nice for them to be able to opt into it at any time without a back office transaction. Although it is NOT our preference, in order to offer this sustaining (i.e., auto renewal) option for members, we're even willing to add a separate membership program--which is required by Altru's current configuration. However, due to Altru's ongoing problems processing nightly credit card payments and the resulting inconvenience to us and our members, we're not willing to go there yet. At the least, Altru needs to fix nightly credit card processing issues.
Just chiming in again here to stress how important this is for us. We need a way to do this for existing annual membership programs and it needs to be available for online, front desk, and back-office transactions. We're fairly certain that not having this is costing us money.
