Track membership history

If I want to see how many members there are during a certain time frame -- including any that expired or canceled during that time -- there's no easy way to do it. This is especially true if your fiscal year is not the same as a calendar year. The membership renewal report comes close, but it doesn't include active members who were simply active during that time and didn't have any type of action.
