I'd like to Customize the Acknowledgment Date Format

Does anyone ever date their letters using the MM/DD/YYYY form? I submitted a case to ask this question and found out that the date format is locked in the Altru merge field.

For acknowledgment letters, I really do not want to send out formal communication with the date in this format. It should be changed to have: Month Day, Year.

Please make this possible! Our organization requires dates on top in format Month DD, YYYY, ex. January 1, 2022, and dates on bottom in MM/DD/YYYY so we have to edit each one.

    Thanks,

    Jay

Just reached out as well. Raiser's Edge acknowledgement process was so much better.

This request was from five years ago and I just reached out about it too. Would be great if this was an option!!!

100% agree. This isn't a tiny detail to me. I am so frustrated that our letters look less professional because of this issue. I can't believe your suggestion from five years ago hasn't been put into action yet.

Sure would help instead of having to do macro.

I actually transfer all of my letters to word, where I have a detailed Macro set up to change it all to the Month Day, Year. I would love it if I didn't have to do that!

Totally agree. In the body of a letter, I never use mm/dd/yyyy. Please provide other formatting options.

I now have everything merge to word and have a macro set that will change all the dates to the Month Day, Year Form. I agree that the expanded date looks much more professional.
