Report that would show only individuals (or foundations/corporations, etc), giving history for a certain time period

Could there be a report that would show only individuals (or foundations/corporations, etc), giving history for a certain time period? I feel like Altru can do almost anything - and it would be so helpful to be able to pull up this information on the fly. For example in 2012 1,000,000 was given by individuals, 2,000,000 by foundations, 3,000,000 by corporations. Just plug in the dates and what group you would want to see. Is this feasible?
