I would like the ability to create a standard discount for any one item in the store without having to ring that item up as a separate transaction. Ideally, Altru would give the discount to the highest price item in the cart (as the customer would prefer). Currently, if you try to create this discount in Altru, it will apply the discount to every discountable item, even if you select for it to be used only once per item, and only once per order. This is such a common retail discount - "50% off any item in the store!" - I cannot believe that it can't be created in Altru.

The way the discounts are now, it's a hassle for our staff to do two separate transactions to give a customer the discount off the single highest item in their cart. It also takes up the customer's time too! It's very strange to me that this kind of discount works fine for tickets but not for merchandise.
Did anyone find another work around for this?
I would really like to see an enhancement that allows a discount to be applied to a highlighted merchandise item in an order. Currently there is no way to apply a discount "on the fly" to a single item. The merchandise discount functionality really needs to be enhanced/expanded.
