We would like to be able to use the address standardization feature so that all Address will be formatted correctly, even if they are imported in lower case or in all capital letters.
If an address comes in online in all caps, it won't match the current record. If it comes in with abbreviations, it won't match the current record, if a record comes in barely different, it won't match the current record. A new account is made each time. I spend lots of time merging duplicate records, just because Altru doesn't know that Street, St., Str are all the same (for example.) PLEASE fix this.
PLEASE fix this. If the addresses were standardized, there would be a much better chance of accounts matching up instead of creating a new account. In addition, when you are merging for a letter, you do not want your addresses to look totally unprofessional. When people enter their addresses online, they use some caps and some not caps, some abbreviations, some spelled out, and some with punctuation. There is no end to the variety of ways the addresses come into the database!
Blackbaud folks,
please let us know if and when this feature will be implemented. We cannot wait for this to become available! Thanks.
I spend HOURS a week cleaning up records. When will we get this update? I know it's available in other BB products.
Definitely agree. The AddressFinder module standardizes addresses in this way, but we can only run it a certain number of times a year, and this feature comes standard with most other systems.
This is something I clean up weekly, it would save so much time for this standardization to be available.
It would make our entry processing more efficient and improve the duplicate record issue.
I would love to see an address thesaurus added in the background of webforms for folks to be able to choose their addresses from. A huge number of simple data entry errors create duplicate records and require editing every week at our organization. This idea could be a huge time-saver for us!
