addressee should automatically recognize same/different last name

Needed: Addressee section should automatically format names to include a different last name. This should not be a separate name option.  

Why can't Altru determine if the spouses have the same or different last names, and default to "different last name" or "same last name", respectively, for Addressees? The Household name determines this--Addressee should use the same coding.

    This drives me insane. Every time I need to publish a donor list, I use the appeal mailings process to be certain I'm getting consistent addressee formatting, to be sure I am filtering out deceased and inactive constituents, etc. I have to create two queries/selections and run every process twice, one for couples with the same last name, and one for singles and couples with different last names.

    Yes. If nothing else, have a box to check if they have different last names, and let it default to the different last name options. Currently we have the default as same last name, so all of the ones that are not (which are many) have to be edited upon entering them.

    Or at least give us more Global Change functionality over Addressees
