Need more flexibility with membership promotions

It would be great to have custom membership promotions by membership level instead of program.  To take it a step further it would be nice to have promotions based on the term as well.  For instance if a customer buys a two year membership we would like them to receive a deeper discount that's not available to customers who only purchase a single year.  Another example would be to create a promotion that's specific to level.

    We wanted to offer our basic membership to the first 100 purchasers for $100 in celebration of our 100th birthday. Not only can we not limit a discount by how many purchased, we can't discount just one membership level.

    I would like to have a membership benefit where upper level members receive a gift membership as one of their benefits. If I could separate membership promotions per level, this would work! Also, it would be so helpful if a promotion could be limited per membership term.

    Custom membership promotions by level would be extremely helpful. It's really limiting to create membership promotions that we feel are safe from a strategic perspective, and it's scary to make a promo code that isn't really meant for all levels, that could be applied to all levels if a patron figures out the hole in the system.
