Tribute Acknowledgment Process Needs to be better

The tribute acknowledgment process needs to be much simpler - tribute acknowledgments are tricky because they need to handled with extra care if it's a gift in memory of someone who has died, but also if it's in honor of someone who is close to the museum. Furthermore, tribute gifts will often come in for singular unannounced events, "I am giving this gift in honor of my mother's birthday because she was a long time docent," and the current process is way too much work for that one gift.

It needs to be run in conjunction, not separate from, the regular acknowledgment process. There are far too many steps to set up an acknowledgement for the acknowledgee, donor, tribute, generate letter headings, templates, default letters, etc. And you have to run the tribute process before you run all the acknowledgments since they have to be unacknowledged revenue.

I would like to have it stream lined so that data entry enters the gift, adds the tribute and then the tribute goes into the acknowledgment process (since those are handled by our development office, separate from data entry) without the person printing having to run the all the tribute processes to see if a tribute payment was made.
