There are many reasons people want to add comments when purchasing a membership! Sometimes they have questions, some want their membership sent to an alternate address, some want to specify more info about membership cards, etc.

Agreed! A comments field would also be helpful for event registrations, in case there are preferences or solicitor information that attendees wish to share that we don't have pre-set on our preferences section.
