Programming suggestion for membership renewals from level that includes children to level that does not include children

13:06:17 [Kent] When renewing a member that is changing from a level that includes children to a level that does not include children, the payment entry prompts an error: Data could not be saved.
The number of children may not be larger than 0.
13:08:05 [Kent] I can easily make the edit to the prior membership level to change the number of children to zero with my back office entry rights but Daily Sales folks are snagged when they encounter such an error. I'm suggesting a programming update that is smart enough to avoid that error when a member is changing levels from with kids to without kids.
13:10:15 [Staci Torrey] Right, when you're trying to upgrade a member in Daily Sales, you've given an error there as well. It is "please enter a valid NUMBEROFCHILDREN", correct?
13:11:00 [Staci Torrey] The user would need to go through the same process to edit the existing membership to change the number of children to be 0 before upgrading, but you're hoping to see functionality added to Altru so that it automatically changes the number of children to 0 for you, correct?

13:13:49 [Kent] By forcing the edit to zero, the history of the previously populated number of children is lost. There should be a better trail.
