Name Format for couples that automatically formats based on last name(s)

Users would like to be able to add one name format for spousal relationships that automatically formats based on the last names of the individuals, like so:

John Smith and Jane Smith = John and Jane Smith

John Smith and Jane Doe = John Smith and Jane Doe

Currently they cannot account for couples with the same last and different last names within the same name format. Users can add a name format for [First name] [Last name] and [Spouse first name] [Spouse last name] but this will show my first example as John Smith and Jane Smith for spouses with the same last name. So they must either edit the single name format for the other situation, or add two name formats and delete the incorrect one. Interestingly Household record names do follow the formatting above by default.

This is hugely frustrating and much needed. It's the 21st century, folks!

YESSS!! This data cleanup is so time-consuming and would be lovely to automate. It's a really easy to mess up step when spousing people and it's much more common these days to have spouses with different last names.

If it can't automatically change based on last name, at least give us a box we can check that says "use second address default" or something to save all of the steps of editing each of the records we enter that have two last names!
