Why is this not fixed already?
This really needs to be fixed. We can change the patron on every other order, why not group sales?
This would be helpful. There is no way to merge a duplicate record with the group sale. Someone created the group order but didn't check to see if the constituent was already in the database. Grr.
This would really help us. We have several reservations created by people who were learning the system that have been booked to the contact rather than the organization by mistake. It would be helpful to be able to correct these mistakes without having to delete the reservation and start over.
I would like to vote to fix this. I have a bride who is frustrated because her mother-in-law's name is showing on the registration instead of her name. When the mother-in-law called in, we thought she was the bride. Now, we are stuck with the wrong name on every receipt that goes out.
We had a similar problem. We booked a group sale under an organizational record, but it really was from an individual. That same individual recently made a donation. But there is no way to change their organizational record to the correct type of individual record. With any other type of revenue - ticket sales, donations, memberships, etc. - you can just move the revenue to the new individual record, and delete the bad organization record. But not with group sales. Make a mistake on a group sale, and you are stuck with that mistake forever. Why?
I can't believe Blackbaud/Altru's official line is "Sorry, you have to live with this mistake forever"
Yes, it would be great to have the ability to change the patron on a group sales order. Please add this to your list of changes needed. Thank you!
