Absolutely agreed. This leads to a lot of frustration from our constituents and extra labor for staff, and it really is a basic function.
This is a very basic mass email requirement and is essential for good customer service. If we use the online registrations and purchasing, there will be duplicate emails entered, it is unavoidable. There is no reason we would ever want to send more than one email address in a mass email to anyone. It should be a part of the process to eliminate the duplicates automatically before an email goes out, similar to what you do now to eliminate deceased. Currently we are forced to either hire temp staff to eliminate the duplicate emails manually or to purchase a separate email program.
