Partial Refunds for Event Packages

It is essential to have the ability to refund partial amounts for event packages. Most organizations keep an administration fee for refunds requested by the registrant. This means that a partial refund is needed to complete this refund. The inability to do this essential makes event packages not a usable option for scheduled programs. Requiring these refunds to be processed through the credit card system is not feasible as it is more time consuming and it means that the financial records for the program are not correct in Altru. Please make this update to the event package feature so that it matches the functionality of scheduled programs.

    Partial refunds as implemented still don't work for event packages. We are unable to refund specific events (cancel tickets, refund just that event, allowing for future refunds) from the package.

    I voted on this last June, is Blackbaud any closer to making this an option for so many places that request it and/or need it as an option?

    The feature needs to be added. We lost an entire camp registration, becuase the parent became frusterated at having to re-register after I couldnt just refund him for the discount that should have applied. We have a processing fee, so not only do I have to refund the entire registration, we lose money on the credit card purchase. When contacting altru all you said was that it was a known issue, but you have no plans to fix it. It needs to be fixed.

    It is a serious limitation that you do not allow partial refunds. All organizations who have events will at some point need to issue a partial refund (rescheduling fee, admin fee, cancelation fee, discount not applied, etc). You cannot market the program as an event and program database and not allow partial refunds for multiday programs. For our organization, this is a daily issue. I would not recommend Altru to other non-profit organizations who run events and camps based on this limitation.

    We need to partial refunds for our packages especially for our children day camps.  There are many reasons why a partial refund for a package is necessary... someone drops out, a member didn't get their discount, a snow day, a customer service credit, etc.

    This update was put in effect last year after I had already built my camps. I was so excited to use this new feature this year! Unfortunately, without the partial refund, it will not be an option. In addition to cancellation fees, I do a lot of partial refunds when members register and their membership is not recognized for a number of reasons. This is really easy to do in scheduled programs and I can provide refunds right away for our members. Also, we do class series in winter that sometimes need to be canceled because of bad weather. I can't just refund one class for the participants using the package feature.

    This is a very integral item for us as well as we deduct cancellation and rescheduling fees for our week-long camps. Sadly, this means we will be opting out of using this functionality until this is fixed. It's a shame too as we were really looking forward to packaging multi-day programs and having a more streamlined process for our accounting people and for rosters.

    We need this option and we will probably sustain from using the package option until we have this fixed unfortunately. We appreciate the hard work you are doing to make this happen. Once this is fixed, it will be a fantastic option for us!

    This is an integral part of sales; our organization requires this as well as sometimes people forget to log in to receive their member benefit discounts on tickets. Please add!

    We really need this feature.  We have been processing refunds for camps through BBMS because we need to deduct a cancellation fee.  This does not show up on the constituent's record.  We need the ability to add a cancellation fee for refunds.

    PLEASE, PLEASE ADD THIS OPTION!! We charge a $5 processing fee when issuing program refunds and it would be amazing if this could be done without bothering the Business Office
